Perimeter booths (against a hall wall)Up to 12 ft tall

Island boothsUp to 16 ft tall
Hanging signsAllowed over peninsula, split-island and island booths of 400 sq ft or more, with the show’s approval; top of the sign at 18 ft max; 5 ft back from neighbors. Rigging is ordered through the show.
Covered areas (Las Vegas fire rules)Covered areas (ceilings, canopies, meeting rooms with a roof) over 300 sq ft need battery-operated smoke detectors and a plan sent to the fire prevention office; booths over 1,000 sq ft submit a booth plan.

More from the Shoptalk Spring rules

  • Inline booths of 100–200 sq ft follow the IAEE line of sight and must have a back wall of exactly 8 ft. Side walls: none, 4 ft max along the whole 10 ft, or up to 8 ft in the back 5 ft and 4 ft max in the front 5 ft.
  • Booths of 400 sq ft and larger: nothing taller than 16 ft. The pages don’t give perimeter heights, so we use the IAEE standard.
  • Hanging signs and rigging: 20x20 booths and larger only (never 10x10 or 10x20), with the top at 18 ft max and 5 ft away from any shared wall. Only the show’s contractors hang them.
  • Finished back walls are required for inline and peninsula booths, and nothing facing another booth can be left unfinished or carry graphics. Pipe and drape can’t be used as walls.
  • Multi-level booths: islands of 400 sq ft or more only; an upper level over 300 sq ft needs two exits; the drawing with an engineer’s stamp goes to Abraxys for permission to build. Space-only booths send their documents for review before they can exhibit.

Shoptalk Spring booth rental: common questions

How much does it cost to rent a booth at Shoptalk Spring 2027?

It depends on the size, the structure and what goes inside. Pick a design, set Shoptalk Spring as your show and you’ll see the rental price range for that exact booth in a couple of minutes, with what is and isn’t included. Your exact quote arrives within 1–2 business days. Show services (material handling, electrical, internet, cleaning) are ordered from the show and are not part of the rental price.

What is the maximum booth height at Shoptalk Spring?

Under Shoptalk Spring’s Exhibitor Display Rules pages (2027 site; some dates still say 2026): inline and corner booths up to 8 ft, perimeter booths up to 12 ft, peninsulas up to 16 ft and islands up to 16 ft. Always confirm with the current exhibitor manual.

Can I have a hanging sign at Shoptalk Spring?

Under Shoptalk Spring’s rules: allowed over peninsula, split-island and island booths of 400 sq ft or more, with the show’s approval; top of the sign at 18 ft max; 5 ft back from neighbors. Rigging is ordered through the show. Our designer checks your sign’s size, height and setback for you.

How early should I book my Shoptalk Spring booth?

About three months before the show is the sweet spot: enough time to settle the design, produce the graphics and register your installer with the show. If you’re closer than that, a rental can still be built in about a month once the design and quote are approved.

Can installation and dismantle at Shoptalk Spring be included?

On request, yes. The exhibit builder that quotes your booth can coordinate installation & dismantle (I&D), freight and show services and quote them separately, based on Shoptalk Spring’s labor rules and deadlines. The installer registers with the show as your exhibitor-appointed contractor (EAC) when the show requires it.
